Concept
This project was a logistical wonderment and a technologial evolution for First Peak Trading Ltd, one of the UK's leading multi-platform online retailer.
We were tasked to compile feeds from over 40 wholesale distributers, which were in a multitude of formats from xml to web scrape. The compiled data was then automatically uploaded into a database to collate and produce a dataset of the lowest priced products with the best available mark up to the company.
This system was set to run for 24 hours and to compile the data every hour. The dataset was fed into their e-commerce web site every hour to ensure maximum profits.
Their original manual process was for 6 feeds which took over 3 hours to complete, our system automatically processed over 40 feeds in 21 minutes.
